Meet Our Specialist

Berkshire Menopause Clinic is founded and led by Dr Shilpa McQuillan, who is a BMS accredited Menopause Specialist, Community Gynaecologist, and GP. Prior to this, she practiced as a hospital Gynaecologist. 

Having these extensive qualifications and over 14 years of experience places Dr McQuillan in a unique position to provide the highest level of expertise in all aspects of women's health, including complex menopause and gynaecology conditions. She provides care to women, in both private and NHS setting. 

Dr McQuillan is caring, personable, and passionate about providing the best service to all her patients. Her dedication to menopause care began when patients expressed a need for local expertise in Berkshire and South Oxfordshire supporting women through the peri-menopause and menopause. This feedback and her desire to provide exceptional care inspired Dr McQuillan to undertake the highest qualification in advanced menopause practice, and launch her very own service Berkshire Menopause Clinic. 

'I myself live locally and feel a real sense of pride being part of my community and providing a much needed service. I hope to be the local expert, women feel they know and trust'.

Dr McQuillan is actively involved in women's health and menopause education and hopes to motivate others so that all women get the best advice for their health needs.

She is the women's health columnist for the Henley Standard newspaper and provides regular editorials for the Round & About Magazine Publications. 

She provides regular teaching to local schools, having incorporated menopause and gynaecology subjects in to the school curriculum.   

She frequents as an expert speaker for medical seminars workplace events, and 'Menopause Cafe' forums.
