A Message From Our Founder, Dr Shilpa McQuillan...

“As a gynaecologist, women’s health GP and accredited menopause specialist, I knew I was in a unique position – to be able to offer women, of all ages, a place to go for all their women’s health needs

A place where they felt calm, understood, and cared for. And, living locally, the only place I wanted my clinic to be, was in Henley-on-Thames, in the heart of the community.”

Dr Shilpa McQuillan, Clinic Founder

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly without a referral. However, we are happy to work closely with your GP and, with your consent, will provide a detailed clinic letter following your appointment.

Yes. Most consultations can be carried out virtually, allowing you to access specialist women’s health care from the comfort of your own home. If an examination or procedure is required, we will discuss whether an in-person appointment would be more appropriate.

When should I see a women’s health specialist?

You may benefit from seeing a women’s health specialist if symptoms are affecting your quality of life, if previous treatments have not helped, or if you would like expert advice about diagnosis and management options. Common reasons include heavy periods, pelvic pain, menopausal symptoms, bladder symptoms, recurrent UTIs, vulval discomfort, contraception concerns and hormonal health.

Can you help with heavy periods and irregular bleeding?

Yes. Heavy, painful or irregular periods can have many causes including perimenopause, fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis and hormonal changes. We can assess your symptoms, discuss investigations where appropriate and explore treatment options.
